Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This page explains what data TrackWatch collects while you use it and how it's used. It's a plain-language description of the app's actual data practices as implemented in the codebase, not a substitute for legal advice.

What we collect

When you create an account we store your email address; your display name, username, bio, avatar and banner images; the shows/movies you track, your ratings, reviews and lists; and any direct messages you send. All of this is used to power the app's core features (tracking, rating, sharing, messaging).

Third-party services we use

We use Supabase for authentication, database and file storage; TMDB for show/movie metadata; Giphy for GIFs in messages; Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection; and Brevo for sending emails. We do not use any third-party advertising or behavioral analytics/tracking tool.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in (Supabase auth cookies) and to remember your language preference. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are used.

Your rights

You can update your profile information at any time from Settings, and permanently delete your account and all associated data using "Delete Account" on that same page. Note that deleting a conversation may also remove the other participant's copy of that message history.

Contact

For questions about your data, you can manage most things yourself from your account settings, or reach out through the project's support channels.
